Although the oceans can be difficult to track in space, the swirling patterns of sea ice allow satellites to pinpoint their movements. This view of sea ice in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the exquisite patterns it creates around Anticosti Island in Quebec, Canada, was captured by NASA's Aqua satellite.
