2. Anvilhead shark - Stethacanthus
When it comes to sharks, there's another freak called Stethacantus that you've probably never heard of. Most members of this fishy family look very similar to each other, even when comparing modern species to extinct ones. But there were a few notable outliers that just didn't seem real. The Stethacantus had a dorsal fin shaped like an anvil. Why did they ever need something so cumbersome? We'll never know.
