The village of Gásadalur, which belongs to the island of Vagar in the Faroe archipelago, is located in a stunning valley between two of the highest cliffs on the island. In 2002, there were only 16 residents in the town. At that time, it was very laborious and time-consuming to enter this municipality. Since a special tunnel was built in 2004 to make it easier for the residents of the village to get around, visitors have started visiting this area.
