On July 1, NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission successfully recovered and stored a sample from the surface of the asteroid Bennu. The Canadian OSIRIS-REx Laser Altimeter (OLA) sensor aboard the spacecraft was instrumental in selecting the Nightingale sample site.

Floods in Nepal

Monsoon rains caused terrible floods and landslides in central and eastern districts of Nepal. Following the floods, Canada, a founding member of the International Charter on Space Disasters and Major Disasters, released photos taken by the RADARSAT Constellation Mission satellites. The flooded areas in this image have been highlighted in color.
